Is my browser out of date again, or is this an attempt to make you sign up for and log into E-Bay to browse auctions?

I'm talking about how the 'item description / auction details' below the listing, bidders, pictures, etc. is all shown as crazy 'garbage' (code) characters.

 

Can you provide an item number that we can review as an example? Because when I call up an eBay auction at random, it looks fine to me...

 

It is probably something wrong with your browser because I had never had this problem on any of the computers I have used.

Are you using IE on Windoze? Try checking your character encoding. It's under View -&gt; Encoding on my computer. Otherwise try Firefox and see if you still get the problem. Maybe that can help finger out the problem.

If you're on a Mac there is sometimes an issue with some fonts mapping weird. If you don't have too many fonts installed try manually switching fonts in TextEdit or something to see if you can find the probematic font, then uninstall it.
