Default Changing the alternator...HELP!

My 90 Civic SI alternator is shot. Last week I thought it was the battery that needs replacement so I bought a new battery. Nope, turns out that the car has been running off the battery until today when the battery light came on.

I'm just reading this PDF file on how to replace the alternator. Anything else I need to know, ie, removing something else before I can remove the alternator? What's this connector that I may need to buy in addition to the alternator?

Sorry I'm not technically inclined when it comes to specifics of the engine.

Just take the old one out and plug in the new one.
