CONFIRMED DATE: August 23, 2004 (All day)
CONFIRMED PRICE: $245 (CAD) per person (Includes certified instructors, certified track officials, emergency personnel, track clean-up, track rental, catered lunch)
Anyone of any level is welcome. I need a confirmed list of 40 people before August 8th in order for this to happen. Otherwise we will have to cancel the booking. Sorry, but no more maybe's or interested; MUST BE CONFIRMED AND WILLING TO PAY DEPOSIT.
I am working with "Ter" on VCC to set this up as he has done several of these events in the past.
The Lapping day is basically a racing school. You get classroom lessons and on-track lessons. Everyone will be separated into 2 groups, Novice and Advance. Novice is for the first timers so don't be afraid that you have never done something like this before. Everyone is here to learn. Almost everyone that has signed up so far is going to be in the Novice group. Drivers will learn proper race lines and techniques, high-speed maneuvers and control of vehicles in emergency situations. Guaranteed to improve your driving!
Race what you bring! You don't need to have a race car to attend. Any car is welcome as long as the vehicle is mechanically sound and is able to pass a general safety inspection. Make sure you have lots of brake pad, a decent amount of tread left on tires, and all fluids topped off. Convertibles MUST have roll bars. Sorry, but no motorcycles allowed as it's not safe to have bikes and cars on the track at the same time. Loaner helmets will be available.
Here is the track layout. For more information you can visit http://www.sccbc.net/
