Well Luke is from London. I would sell your ITR here and just buy used or new ITR. You can get both UK or JDM spec R's there. But there tax is not so apparent as it's normally included in the price of everything not like here where we always say Plus Tax. You need to get import insurance and they will cover your mods as well...but you will probably have to put a tracker on it...in case it's stolen. To tell ya the truth most cars that are stolen in the UK are found the same day or chased down before they even get away. The tracker sys in the UK covers all of the UK unlike the US verison of it which only covers like 15 states. Mostly what I heard of in the UK is smash and grab where they grab whatevers on your seat and radio normally. I know it's pretty common since Evo mag even talks about it being the most common crime. Plus the ITR is not really car someone there would steal. They rather steal a Merc, BMW, TVR and so on mostly high end type cars. Heck Evo even says there alot people in the UK that even don't know what the Integra Type R is. I think they only sold 500 there in the last 3 yrs it was sold there.
Now you will have to pay a emission tax. Which basically depends on how much your car pollutes the more you pay.

Oh yes you will need to get MOT every yr as which basically is cert test they have to make sure your car is not a road hazard...something the US should do in all of it's states. You will need a international drivers license which you can get from DMV. But if your going to stay there for long time once your there go and get your Euro International License which makes it legal for you to drive in all European countries. I know good bit about how things work there since I was going to move there for a job awhile back but then I decided to run my own business. Just don't work for Gov. there because if you do you void your passport unless you got special work permit there. Also remember the more money you can dump into your bank account there when you first move there..the easier it will be to get setup with the water works and eletrics and phone service there as most require you to have bank account and physical address before they will give you power, water and phone service..and so on. Oh yeah you will have to pay for license to watch TV there as well and if you don't they will come and find you. They have inspectors that come around from time to time to check it out to make sure your up to date or if you been watching tv illegally which they can with some sortof of detectors. They have DSL service there via Daemons and you also can get digital tv from dish just like directv but it's called different there. Also if your in England you can use public transport easier then driving. They have trains and taxis and buses all over the place there for you to use. Also if you got around 10 grand get a BMW C1 which is basically covered scooter but can do 70mph and has heater and radio and CD player..pretty nice to have in crowded city..just don't drive on sidewalks.

Do they make an Audi S3? i want the hatch so bad. ever since i saw one in germany. yeah i will have to sell my civic and the R. i will look into some other cars when i get there.
Well on all cars except brit cars you can grey import from other european countries for cheaper then what you normally can get them from UK dealership. Unlike here since it carries a std European warranty any dealership in the UK can perform warranty work on the car.
My friend Glen of Scotland has Audi S3 actually after he totaled out his R on one of home country roads.
You can grey import in cheaper Japanese cars but they only normally come with a 1 yr warranty. I would get something like the new Civic Type R as they come with 3 yr warranty and priced very cheap compared to other on the road types plus they usually will pay for some of your # plates or register fees and MOT for the first yr. Also you get a MAC from Honda which allows you to track your car for free and which includes driving instructor from Honda. You can also get insurance at dealership as well or you can look else were but they tend to cut good deals when you get everything at one place. Most all UK cars out of the dealership carry thatchcam CAT1 alarms on them and now immoblisers. But it's best just sell your car because in the UK since when you did sell it your get alot less money for it just because it's a left hooker. If your with company were you do travelling you may ask for company car to drive. They usually are either low end BMW's, mondeo's, Rovers, Citreons and Opels. Oh yeah another thing is after you been there for one month I believe you can apply for Universal Health Care so you can just goto the doc when ever you have a problem and not pay a cent to them since there getting paid by the gov. Though it has been said to get dental insurance since not long ago has the UK really pushed dental health so if you want good care like in the US get some dental insurance.
I know alot of the ends and out because of friends there and about 2 yrs ago a friend went to teach at university there.

Unless you get Evo 6 or older car you won't be able to get a Evo 7 at ralliart dealership for under 27-28 grand US..though with higher models range into the 30+ grand market.
You can come away with brand new CTR for just over 20 grand at most Honda UK Dealerships.
