Default To Type S or not to Type S JE Arias Eagle Rods

$1500 for a Type S Block
OEM 11.0.1 Compression Pistons

$3500 for a Built Block
Arias 11.5:1 Compression Piston
Eagle Rods, RS Machine Sleeves

If I get the Type S Block, I will likely run a thinner head gasket and bump up the compression to around 11.2 - 11.3.

This is for an streetable all-motor H22A. The head will be fully built.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth the extra $2000 for a built block?

It depends on if you already have an h22, if so then you could just buy the arias pistons for about 450, and buy the eagle rods for say...around 350-360 at most, and then go buy a block for say around 150... and have it sleeved and bored for 1000-1050ish after shipping for $2010 and put the crank and all that in and your good to go
