which motor mount is most important?
my front motor mount on my '88 crx si and 90 civic si is badly cracked and all but broken. oem and ~15 years and 191,000 miles, etc.
for the budget minded, i am going to replace this but which other mount should be replaced next for ita and autocrossing?

I'd think the front one to be the least important with the driver's side probably most important and rear or passemger side next. The obvious answer is all of them.
when thinking about the motor "wind-up" during acceleration, it would seem that the front & back take most of the abuse. why the driver side?
btw lee, i may start looking for the konis for my 85 si after all since i don't have a complete set of tokicos any more!

I know that front and rear are of great importance on cars with torque (not something CRXs have to worry about). My Omni GLH Turbo wore fronts at a faster rate. I figured the driver and passenger side was under all of the cornering load holding the drivetrain in the shell and the car would probably be cornering harder than it accels. I figured the driver's side might wear quicker because of size and general design shape.

They are going to be getting harder to find unless I can have more made which is an outside chance at best. My stepdad's Civic is sitting on a fresh custom set but he isn't ready to give up on the car yet even though he doesn;t use it..

Yeah I don't think you can say one is less important than another. They all serve a purpose and are all in place for a reason.

For ITA and Stock autocrossing, unmodified stock bushings/mounts are all that i am allowed. I'm ordering front ones now (ITA '88 Si and H-Stock '90 Civic Si) and will buy more based on a detailed inspection of the others. The front ones appear to be the closest to failure due to deep cracks in the rubber.
