Default Magna flow stuff?

Went to "Magic Mufflers" in Thousand Oaks, Ca. My friend got a flow master on his 1500 hemi and i got curious so i asked what the guy could do to my 98 prelude. He said he could put 2 resonators, and a magna flow muffler deal using 2.5 inch piping. He could give me a pretty deal for 500$$. It also wouldnt give me that cheap *** rice sound, (listened to a customers car). Would this be better than an Evo2? Donno if I gave you guys enough info but its worth a shot. My future plans are turbo and about the 3 inch piping if that can be fixed later without massive money. thanks

but how do they compare performance wise to the evo2? Performance is whats more important to me. I need to get some upgrades before i get a turbo, I cant stand having my stock car for another 4 months till i get enough money to by a turbo. Thanks

taking the two muffler only. just mufflers

youll get the same thing,

straight through muffler is a straight through.. you can put a tip or whatever you want on it to change the look.. still straight through

What does that mean, are you say if they are both straight through design I'll get the same gains? Thats my main concern. Also fastlude, how loud was it and did it sound like rice? I want to stay as far away from that rice keg canon sound.

I got just the magnaflow muffler on my 97 prelude and it sounds like anything but rice. It's deep and throaty under acceleration, and it's oem quiet while cruising

Replacing the muffler itself will give you little to no horsepower. I didn't feel any difference in power, but because of the staight-through design it reduces engine temp and increases a little mileage.

you will gain as much from this one, as any exhaust. if your thinking about going turbo, go ahead and get the 3". it will be a little loud, but you wont have to upgrade later on.

Is the 3 inch really necessary? I know everyone says that but I'm not going to be running more than 10psi if that. I do know that that will be really loud. Thanks again

$500 is rediculous, goto another muffler shop, mesa muffler in costa mesa has a lot better prices, for 2.5 inch w/ magnaflow muff i think i was quoted like $250, also check out ktellers stuff (btw, kteller can you beat that price shipped to 92604 for 93 accord, if so let me know)

and as far as the evo2, custom piping + magnaflow muffler is better than almost any brand name including evo2, all you are paying for is name w/ those

It's always to get 3" for turbo. I mean, if you want to up the boost, it'll be a better diameter to rid of all the gases after the wastegate/turbo.
