doing an jdm itr frontend conversion on my integra. I am curious how you guys with the conversion made the hood latch work? thanks for any help.

The shop used an accord one on mine. Works great.

 

my jdm support came with the jdm latch still attatched w00t!

I have the whole front clip and the jdm latch that is on the clip looks like it is the is the same as flipping the stock US hood latch.

 

Use the stock latch but you have to order a 90-93 integra cable!

 

i used a 9-94 integra hood latch and cable.

first off....you can't flip the stock hood latch beacuse the mounts are 180 degrees different on the jdm and usdm ones. hybrid racer, do you even have a jdm front on your teg....let alone have a car at all?

just get a 90-93 integra hood latch and hood cable and you will be golden. mine worked perfectly.

Nope, you can use the stock hood latch, just flip it around, only problem though, the handle hits the underneath of the hood and makes it difficult when opening, other wise you can straighten the bend in the stock latch. (I used this on my conversion before I bought the DA 90-93 hood latch, fits perfect now...

One more thing.... you can use the stock hood cable too, only thing, you need to re-run the hood release cable to the passenger side, good if you are worried about theives, otherwise use the 90-93 hood cable and latch.

correction.. you CAN flip it.. i had it that way on mine until i opened it for the first time and saw and felt how ghetto it was... then i went and got me a 92 integra hood latch and cable at the local junk yard 5 minutes later.

 

yeah if u flip it the lever is on the opposite side

Sure it'll work, but your friends will be wondering why you gotta stick your whole forearm into the damn grill to open your hood.

 

i should have stated that you can use the stock hood latch, but the lever is backwards and it's a bitch too get to. it's just easier to do the whole
DA conversion thing.
