So check this out, tongight i was crusin around with a bunch of imports and we eventually stopped in some parking lot. And along comes this black S2K with bronze wheels and we are like, damn this looks nice. Then the thing stops by us and we get a good look. First as i am walking up I see Spoon calipers and i was like WTF??? No one around here has those so i knew somthing was up. Next i look at the wheels and i thought the were knock if mf10's, but them ***** were real Mugen. I was damn impressed right there as that is the only person i have ever seen with real ****.

So, I get talking and he says he bought it from the dealer just as it was. It had 2700 miles and was an 01 or 02. Here is a list of what it had.

Vortech Supercharger
Tech 3 Standalone (i was told this and saw some computer on the floor)
Comptech strut brace.
Mad other tie bars and x braces and ****
Upgraded sway bars
Ground Control coilovers with some after market shocks.
MF10's
Spoon calipers

Take a guess what this kid bought it for at the dealership......

25k!!!! I was like what the ****.
Soposedly it puts down 327rwhp and the motor had work done on it like internals.

The dealership still waranties everything on the car. he said that once there was an idle problem, and the dealership took it to a local dyno shop and had it retuned. I thought this was a little bogus, but coincidentaly there was a service guy from the honda dealership he bought it from at the "meet". He definetly verified everything. Just wanted to post this because it seemed like a crazy deal all for 25K!!!

Sounds like BS to me, that "service guy" could have been his friend, I just don't see a dealership carrying a car to a dyno for retuning and such.

 

if it was 2000 thats not really that great of a deal. ive seen 00 and 01s go for 15,500 to 16,500 just look around.

and only 2000 miles sounds a little wierd to me

i think thats too cheap. if you want a legit s2000, id say 18k is the cheapest. if they were around 15k-16k. id have alot of friends buying one. im sure it would probably be salvage, or somthing wrong with it.

This is in rochester NY. The guy i know isnt his friend for a fact. It was like a meet and the service guy was there an hour before the other guy. i was talkin to the sevice guy when he rolled up to us, and the guy recognized the car and ****, but didnt know the kid by name. Also i have know that kid with the s2000 because he used to have a wrx and i put a bov on it.

I'm not trying to defend this kid or anything, just tellin it as i hear it. The service guy later that night told me that he brought it to a dyno shop in buffalo (he mentioned a name of a shop that does hondas) because it wasnt runnin right. the guy basically told the dealership that it was an "ify" car to waranty and **** because of the parts. So they basically sold it for less that it was worth.

throughout my life, i've learned "never truly believe what they say"! who would actually give their tuning specs!? insane... anyways, around here, where i live... it seems the same... i considered "ghetto" im actually the first rollin around with a Top Secret rear diffuser w/ vortex generator... you should see their eyes... and my work emotion wheels in bronze... oh... yea...!

it was on SuperStreet... its sweet -n- all... but wasnt it like $40,000 for ne??? spoon aint as good as amuse... is better to mix...

yes, i have two good friends who work at the honda dealer in orlando. but the prices are way high

 

 

How is that insane? He has hardly anything done to the car...and the things he has done to the car are so common. You really need to get out more...

maybe the guy's area at where he live, might be similiar to mines... its like this... i drove home the other day, and spotted an '89-94 240sx with the SR20!!! that baby was turbocharged...! vrooom... psss.... vrooom.... psss... so... sweet, i LOVE it!!!why he gotta show off at me??? my s2000 is NA...!? where i live... all i see is automatics, clear lights, ugly kits, combat spoilers, no name parts, stupid graphics, painted seats...!? coomme on... GODD...WHEN WILL I CALL JAPAN "HOME"??? so its very RARE seeing cars like this!
