yes, i searched.
i'm running an 11.x:1 pistons in a sleeved h22 (89mm) and was wondering what people believed to be the most cost effective and power producing camshafts. i also am going to be running 100-150 shot of nitrous, in a full race chasis, which are also factors. i really don't want to have to worry about piston to valve clearance/ valve to valve clearance, so cams known to not have those problems would be nice, although we will probably clay the motor anyways. Thanks for any positive help. opinions, appreciated.
edit: i can't spell.

personally i havent seen any good results from any cams on the market for h22. skunks hardly make more power than type s cams. and jun3's are so damn hard to get noone has em.
we will be testing some mild street cams soon, but im also in the market for some big cams... i will probably try to get some jun3's
h22 **** isnt cheap and there arent alot of options

i know its not cheap, but id rather spend the 400 dollars for type s cams twords aftermarket cams that make good power! everything h22 is expensive.... i wish i had gone b series sometimes, but too late to turn back now!

As in how much more power does the skunk2 h22 cam make over the type-s cams? i'm still deciding in what cams i should get for mine.

one of my buddies has skunk2 cams in a bolton jdm h22.. it made 200hp and pretty low tq.. 135-140 if i remember right. our old h22 civic had type s cams and the same boltons as the skunk2'd h22 and it made 200hp but 150lb tq. and it made power higher up in the rpms.
type s = 200hp/150tq power to 8000rpms
skunk2 s2 = 200hp/140tq power to 7500 rpms

A buddy just tuned his stock bottom end h22 with vtec at 6100 did around 212 hp on a reprogramed p13 with a vafc with some crapy header. Then he slaped on a hytech side exit and did 250 as the car was tuned on the other header. I also am running a similer set up to yours but a stock bottom end with jun cams and a 80 shot but i have not got it tuned yet to tell you how it does. Maybe it will get tuned soon.

well, i already have an SMSP header so hopefully i should be making pretty good power.. where can you get these juns at a good price, or crower's, and what do you guys think is the difference in power between the two?

aight ill message him, how much did you pay for yours, and what stage? 3? and people who used the crower cams, what kind of gains did you get and what not.. thanks ..
Jun only does on stage for h22s and they are considered to be stage 3s. I pyead a grip for them when I bought them about 2-3 years ago abotu 900.
I'll sell you a set Crower Stage 3's #63423 with less than 1000 miles on them for $600 shipped. They retail at $680 and up plus shipping. They make GREAT power. The best off the shelf all-motor H22 cam in my opinion.

12.8 @ 110 with last year's setup. I didn't run the car with the Stage 3's in, just the Stage 2's.

Try posting this in the prelude forum and see what happens. All day long I see "my buddy". I have gigantic doubts as to this claim-- unless he was running nitrous to get the 250, I think that without replacing cams it is pretty hard to break 200 alone. There are those strange flukes however.

well, stock i made 187whp and 160trq on stock cams on a hot *** day (95 degrees and 90% humidity)...stock everything except for 11.8:1 pistons on 93 octane...
then put in c16 gas and ran rich on top but still yielded 13.2@101...

Guess that is not STOCK. Irrelevant to "my buddy" claim.

My bad that is with jun cams I figured when I said stock bottom end that you would figure he had a built head.

Stock cams
Crower camsI'd suggest the Crower stage 2's or even 3's for anyone looking to have a good all-motor H22. You can only do so much with the stock ones. I made 200 whp with the stage 2's, stock bottom end, and some bolt ons.
