FYI to all paypal users

read the site, it is very informative.
I am in the process of receiving a refund from my cc company now due to these BS dispute resolution issues. They actually refundeed me a penny, thats right, 1 cent and considered my issue with over a $1000 charge resolved to my satisfaction.
If you want to know how to collect...

i am pretty sure that email is a scam
due to the fact when you log into paypal
they say that paypal will never contact you via Email
and numerous numnuts would come into my old job at a bank
that put their paypal information into random "paypal" looking emails
and got focked
so be weary of all that stuff

I'm not going to say its not a scam but since it is actually in the news that there is a class action lawsuit against paypal and those who signed up between specific dates are eligible it may be a valid email
I received the same one and I haven;t read it it full detail yet but I paln to check into it more and actually log onto the website to invesitgate, but I don't plan on sharing any passwords or ID names

Someone can be capitalizing on the very fact that since paypal is getting a class action suit against it, many paypal customers will regard the fradulant email as a genuine email for paypal.

The class action lawsuit and tne fraudulent emails are two completely different issues.
Paypal is scamming their own customers by freezing their accounts for long periods of time and using the money in those frozen accounts to collect interest on. To the tune of some 2000 accounts per day. It is almost always an amount too small to be worthy of a consumer to take to court. The accounts are usually unlocked also, but only after 6+ months of paypal collecting interest on that money from their banks. Its a scam for them to invest money which is not theirs.
The email scam is one by a third party. Someone posing as PayPal.
