i'm not sure what i got, i think it might be 96spec hid, or is it just some bright *** bluish bulb?

there is no 96 spec hid. The way to tell if they are real 98spec HID OEM lights is if there is a circle in the plastic where the projector is....if its a regular housing(which that one looks to be, as in it didnt originally come with the HID) it has straight plastic lines all the way across the housing.

yeah those are non-HID OEM JDM headlights (97-below). They do however seem to have a HID kit attched to them. Awhile back I did the same thing, until I got the OEM HID JDM headlights (98+).

OEM HID JDM R headlights (98+spec): (see the circle in front of the projector. Notice that the line don't go across it. Also the projector is smaller.


OEM NON-HID JDM R headlights (97-below spec) (see the lines going across the projector and notice how big the projector is.

i duno, i heard there was a jdm 96 hid. i dont think i have a hid kit attached, cuz i dont see a big black box behind the projects. but when i turned on my lights infront of a wall, it looks like it has hids, cuz it covers a lot of the wall and its pretty much a straight line across. are there any non hid lights that do this?

yeah any projector will shoot a sharp line across a wall. OEM JDM HID began on the 98spec type R's.

you mean the JDM headlights (non-type R verison)? I have no idea, check with IPS Racing. I'm sure Mike can get you a set.
