01 Accord Climate control problems
I have a 2001 Accord (in Canada) 4dr, 4cyl 83K. Just recently the climate control does not work properly. The problem I am experiencing is specific to the fan motor speed (off, 1, 2, 3, 4). The switch doesn't seem to be turning on the fan when in position 1 or 2, but the fan comes on at 3 or 4. When in 3 or 4 the fan is at the normal speed for that setting. Through some research I have found the problem to be either with the blower motor, or climate control unit. Further research has pointed me to the possibility that there could be a few electrical components in the climate control unit that are "fried" and need replacing (e.g., resistors).
Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a way I can figure out if the problem is with the blower or control unit? Please help. Thank you

I've been doing some more reading and there is a motor blower resistor. Could that be the only part that needs replacing?
I do have experience with electronics, can anyone recommend a way I can troubleshoot where the problem lies?

That is most likely your problem. The blower resistor should be located at the bottom of the blower case. They have 3 coils of resistive wire. You'll probably find two of them broken.
Where exactly is the blower case located? How do I get to it? Do I need any special tools? Do I need to lift the car up?
If you have any links that could point me to how to fix this I would appreciate it.
