Default trying to make sense of compression numbers

ok i did a compression test on my b16 and it came out from #4 cyclinder to #1
220 210 210 220
the head has been milled .080 mm i think, and the block decked, im using a stock headgasket. with CTR pistons,
are those high numbers?
how can i tell my compression ratio with those numbers?
with what i have what octane fuel should i run?
it pings slightly yet and i retarded ignituon all the way because that was the only way i could gt it to not ping, exhuast cam was set at 0 and intake at 4 degrees, also just a good guess as i havent had time to dyno tune it

I would say run it with 93 octane.
Will you be able to advance the timing with good fuel?
Is the intake cam 4* advance?

Those numbers are not high at all. My stock jdm b16 numbers are 220 across. Are you sure the head has been milled when you did the compression test?

yeah im pretty sure the head was milled, it has CTR pistons and if those arent high numbers than i dont know whats up, the head was built by JG i think it was the redline spec, but my combustion chanmer isnt painted red as is thier trade mark when building a head.

on my stock b18c i have 260-270 accross the board, but those numbers arent bad at all but they probally should be a lil bit higher

yeah those #'s seem low, my stock 10.2 comp. b16 pulled 240's.
But then again altitude and temperature change the readings...

well im on california coast, pretty much sea level, so i dont know if that can change the numbers

also say it is milled and with the ctr pistons, what would cause a setup like that to throw a low compression number. is something leaking do you think?

I know i **** out a heck of alot of dark smoke whn i hit vtec in pretty much all gears. also when im in a gear and let off the gas to slow the car down with the tranny if i suddenly accelerate i throw a small puff of dark smoke. i thoguh that was normal, since im running really rich with a mugen spec ecu

any insight is greatly appreciated

Nope. that's where you want to do the test at. sea level, 14.7 natural psi.

i am also running the mugen chip and i also get a lot of black smoke in vtec due to unburnt fuel
