Default HELP! Max rim size on 2003 accord v6 coupe...yes, i searched already...

hey guys...i did some searches but i still have a question...

so i bent one of my wheels on my car...i have 18 inch by 7.5 inch rims... and the wheels i have are discontinued...so i was wondering if 18 by 8 rims would fit on the car, but with stock suspension...no drop or anything...the dealer and this tire shop (victoria tire) said they wouldn't fit for some reason... let me know guys...appreciate the help

^^^ depends on the offset. but the max width on the accord is 8.5.

i'm thinking of putting on 18 by 8 rims... everything else is stock... i'm not really sure what offset they are, but will they make that much of a difference where the wheels won't fit... what is the most common offset for that size rim?

the tire size i have on right now is 225/45... that is with a 18 by 7.5 rim... so width would probably be a bit bigger with the new rim...not sure on the exact size though...

basically, with the right tire size and right offset, the wheels should fit on the car with no problems, right??? no rubbing or anything????

Offset makes a huge difference. I think you could go that wide (don't know why you would) as long as the offset was just right. Do some measuring. Measure from the face of your hub to the inside of the fender as best you can in mm and there is your max offset. Any more than that and it will rub. Of course you can't measure to where the fender starts to slope down because there is where it will rub.
