How much is it and is it comparable to Spoon in term of quality?
How does it benefit the engine?

it's like $3.00
i've only seen pics of the sp00n ones but the sp00n magnet looks longer and would presumably attract more junk.

ep- For the Spoon to fit into the mugen oil pan you can stick in a screwdriver and push the mugen bracket over a little for the Spoon plug to fit. I am pretty sure you will have to do that with the Pep boys one also. Its the length that makes it not fit. HTH

You could always break off part of the magnet. Pepboys only has one style.

Quality is way better?

Please tell me- exactly what qualities do you look for in a magnetic drain bolt, and how does the Pep Boys plug fail to meet your requirements?

LOL.

Well if anyones interested I have 8 sets left of the Spoon drain plugs usually $45, I'll sell these last 8 for $35 plus shipping

PS I forgot who said to cut a magnet for it to fit, But in my experiences I have seen magnets fall apart if cut with the wrong tools.

Spoon uses reverse-osmosis to electrostatically charge the plugs with more JDM juice.. laymens terms: the spoon magnets are stronger and more durable because they are spoooon, duh. oh yeah, i'm sure spoon makes them in-house too. riiight.. i bet NAPA has the same thing.

I did. Yea I have seen magnets "crumble", but I think you'd be able to tell right away if it was going to hold up... and if it did fall apart it wouldn't go anywhere but stuck up to the inside of the bolt.

You could also grind it down, I would think that would have much less chance of fracture.

I'd do it for $40, but I'm a broke-*** college kid.
