Need help with custom Turbo setup =)
Ok everyone who has done custom turbo setups, I need your help!! OK first thing first. This is going into a 95 LS integra. I already purchased most of the turbo parts I need for my setup. I have the following left to get.
Intercooler
Piping
Silicone Couplers
Pipe Clamps/Misc hardware to install everything
So whats the best route to take? I want to do the piping myself and weld it together. I'm not sure what size piping I'm gonna need. Also where can I get all the couplers and pipe clamps ect.? How much or how many will I need?
I dont want to get piping from a turbo kit. Mainly cause of the cost of a few pieces of piping. It outrageous. So anyone know where I should start? Any websites to order all this stuff? Give me part #'s if possible.
I know you integra ls owners have done this before so help me out...I want to avoid all the newbie mistakes!! Someone hook me up with a parts list of the stuff needed.

Do a search, I know you can get some of the stuff on http://www.jcwhitney.com
Do JC Whitney for the piping, and Baker Precision for clamps and silicone.

You can do several things with size. 2.25" all the way, or 2" to the IC and 2.5" form IC to TB, etc.

for piping you'll have to order 2.25 inch U-bends from somewhere, I get them from a local muffler shop. I usually do the first foot or so coming out of the turbo in 2 inch. for the couplers, go to Napa and buy Straight radiator hose, Hose clamps you can get at any hardware store. Did you already get your oil feed and return lines and everything. for gaskets, just go to any automotive store and order the turbo gasket kit for a 1986 ford thunderbird turbo 4cyl.
I just bought my couplers from homedepot last night. What i bought was PVC pipe couplers. Only about $1.70 each. They come with a metal jacket that goes around the whole thing and also comes with hose clamps--not a bad deal since 2 clamps would cost that much alone. Only thing is you might wanna trim the inside a bit with a razor cause there is a little blockage, nothing major though.
I bought my IC piping from JC Whitney. I got 3 2.25 ubends with the longer legs. I am thinking now I should have got 4 because the turn from the turbo and the turn from the TB. As far as oil feed, you can buy one already assembled for the ls/vtec conversions at either jdmhondaparts.com or also at inline4.com i think. It will be a little more expensive since its assembled alread but who cares. Oil dump should be stainless line of the -10AN variety--do a search for this, its been beat to death.
Also roadraceengineering.com has a great do-it-yourslef page and also the turbonetics website has stuff too.
Intercoolers can be found many places. I got a starion and modded it to run the piping off the sides instead of the top, i found it in a bone yard. If you want a stealth setup, my friend is selling his 1G eclipse sidemount if your interested. Should be good to about 15 psi, considering stock dsm runs 14 psi.
Umm think thats it. If you have any questions or want pics of what I got, then provate message me.

i bought mine from homedepot too!!
youd might want to take those metal jackets off cuz
they retain a lot of heat...! and take a long time to cool down too
compared to just using the black coupling by itself...just an idea..
because metal is a better heat conductor that rubber/silicone...
i hope those rubber/silicone couplings dont melt..haha
i wonder till what temp theyre good to..??
1.70US ?!?! **** thats cheap...here in canada theyre 4+US.!!!!

Whoops, your right. Just checked my receipt. Cost was $3.97 each. Good looking out on the metal jackets, I will have to look into it when I finally get the system installed.
i'm selling my greddy intercooler kit setup..

There is a guy with the user name rtype11 that post here who is a friend of mine who is selling all his old pipeing etc.. from his 96 LS turbo. He should have some stuff you need.
Hey guys, In case you didn't know. Napa carries the BADASS t-clamps for boost piping that are seen on my car. Half as expensive as buying them through turbonetics and they are the exact same thing!
I drove the car for nearly a month, and never had a single one leak or blow off...

yo shadow...when put together my custom kit, i order stainless u bends from summit and cut and fit each pipe and welded them. as fars as sizes....i did 2.25 from t3t4 to front mount...then from the front mount, 2.5....which flows up to like 500hp+. as far as, misc. b.s., i decided to go the better way of using aeroquip fittings and earl's, and aeroquip stainless oil and fuel lines. this makes everything nice and tight fitting and looks good too. u will obviously need a oil lin from the back of the block to the turbo.....(1/8 npt fittings, a 1/8 tee to tap the block, a s.s. line like 3 ft, and then whatever size the outlet is on the oil feed from the turbo...my guess is a t3t4? then u will need 3/8..cos thats what i used.) then u will need a oil return line from the oil pan....i used a big *** stainless steel line with earls fittings here...3/4 from turbo to pan...if i can recall right. all other stuff like rubber vaccum lines, t pipes, clamps can be purchased anywhere like pep trash or sumthin...summit has everything you need..fittings, piping, everything...good as prices too. peace out.

hey giuseppe......how does those rubber couplings from home depot hold the pressure? i just was wodering cos i saw them one day, and was wondering if the psi will hold......?
If they're four bucks a piece, go get silicone instead. The clamps are crap anyway, so I wouldn't count those as much of a bonus. I saw them a long time ago at the Depot and thought about it, but I wanted to do it right the first time ...
