Was part of the 2001 Honda Accord recalled? I heard something about the instument panel being messed up or something? Is this true?

 

I think there was something about the auto tranny as well, don't know if it covered the manual tranny or not.

 

also there was something about the ignition, how you can take the key out when its running and it will still run.

 

there is a website where you can register your car and get information on recalls...i dont remember it, however. anyone wanna jump in and give it?

that would be ignition switch recall

Thanks I have been looking for that link.

 

My old car (95 mercury mystique) would let you take the key out with the car running and the car would keep on running. This was the greatest thing in the world. On a cold morning, you get up for work, go to the car, unlock, crank up and set defrost on medium and turn rear window and side mirror defrost on, remove keys, lock doors and go back inside.

This was teh best for snowy days.

Wish my accord did it... wonder if I can modify it somehow....
