Default CTR piston questions in B18C1. did a search...

i am about to purchase some CTR pistons for a deal i couldnt refuse. i have a couple of questions:

1) what would the compression ratio go up to in my GSR motor after the install?

2)how much more HP should i gain?( i have i/h/e,skunk2 cams(pending install),cam gears,venom injectors,VAFC, blah blah blah

3)is boreing nessicary?

TIA

your compression would be around 11.8:1-12:1 depending on wheter or not you mill your head. also, boring would be a good choice, but if your cylinders are still in good shape, then standard bore will be fine. you will make good horsepower with this compression, just make sure you tune your car.

If you do not bore it, you must clean the cylinder walls. You can have it honed.
As for compression, according to calculations, should be in the 12.7 neighborhood.

If you are properly tuned, you should not have any problems...

You could go with a thicker headgasket to drop the compression a bit.

Now you'll just get there quicker. I wish i could to that to my car. But it's my only car and it's DAILY driven Oh well maybe when i get married. Maybe if i found a shop i could take off from work to get it done. So the CTR pistons are a direct replacement? you don't need to bore the cylinder?
