Default B16 dyno with Precision SC34 (447.8 whp at 25psi). Pictures and Video.

I noticed a lot of people requested information about the Precision SC34 but hardly any replies. Well, I dynoed yesterday on my Daily driver EK with air conditioner. I wanted something that didn't lag and make useless enormous hp. All the parts on the car are basically slap together parts that I purchased used from people locally.

The specs are:
1. b16 rs block (used)
2. inline pro manifold bought new from Flamenco T
3. Precision sc34 bought new from Hondadriven
4. Crower rods (used)
5. CP pistons (used 84.5mm, buyer said it was 9:1 but did a compression test showed up more like 8.5:1)
6. 880 injectors
7. GE headgasket
8. Honda s200 (absolutely no studder)
9. GSR head with stock GSR cams. 1mm over size Ferrea valves and skunk2 springs

The car was dynoed on pump gas in 98 degree heat with Georgia's humidity. One of the cooling fan placed in front of the FMIC keep popping the fuse from the dyno. So we had to rest couple of times to relieve the heat soak. Ed at Balance Performance here in Atlanta tuned it in a little under 2 hrs. We dyno at 25 psi. Could have gone more but didn't really need to because this is my daily driver and have no need to boost to 28psi. If I wanted to take it to the drag strip, I will bring my other car that made 585whp. The purpose of this car was with cold air conditioner and comfort driveability. The precision sc34 was a good little turbo that didn't really have much lag. This was the first time I convert a video from cam to the web so I couldn't figure out my 5 yrs old Hauppauge capture card audio input.

Awesome! I have the same turbo and similar block setup. I hope to put down similar numbers!

I love your wastegate vaccuum fittings too. I dont see a dumptube, isnt that making a mess of your radiator?

No, it is actually RS machine sleeve block. Bought used from a local member here. The previous builder fucked up the block and blew a headgasket.

I haven't had a chance to finish up the dumptube because there aren't really much room in the engine bay left. . Besides if I don't boost much, in which I am not planning to. It won't dump any exhaust there. The spring on the Tial is 14lbs.

What are the specs on the SC34? When does it reach full high boost?

Am I the only one who's blown away by the fact that he's running 25 PSI on pump gas? Does that detonate at all on the street?

yeah that seems a bit strange... Nice #'s though. I ran the SC34, and just recently upgraded to a t3/t67. Put down around 400whp at 23-24 psi on a similar setup. What kind of a dyno was it?

Damn I have a 180whp daily driver / "race car" (poor college student edition), and this pimp's sporting a 450whp "daily driver" and a 585whp "race car".

Lucky bastard.

since it has lower compression that will give him more room to boost higher, but i wouldnt push pump gas that far even since its lower compression, its just askin for trouble.

but great numbers none the less. boost pressures are not all that important, if everyone was running the same motors and same turbos, then sure. but everyone is different. 440 whp on pump is strong, but if i were u, i wouldnt turn it up that high.

If your not supposed to turn it up that high on pump gas with LOW 8.5 compression then how are you supposed to get big power?

Is the answer bigger turbo with less psi to make big power?

Race gas or a bigger turbo is the best way to hit numbers like that. ITR206 just made 440 WHP and 290 TQ (so not too far off even on the torque number) with a T3/T67 @ 16 psi on pump gas, and I don't know about you but I would feel a lot more comfortable running 16 pounds than 25 pounds.

I think stan at fast-turbo has them. Eitherway, nice set up. It is hard to find an sc34 dyno chart.
