weird sound when turning car off help!

Default weird sound when turning car off help!

for some reason, when i shut my car off, some of the time a squeaking sound will come from the front of the car..not sure where specifically though. anybody know what it is?
any help appreciated. thanks.

sure its a squeeky sound? Do you hear the sound right after you shut off the car or a little after?

see if you can get the car to a very low rpm

it could be a belt that makes noise only when the rpms drop signifigantly explaining why it does it as your motor is about to halt.


soap + water on the belt should temporarliy stop a squeaky belt so try to troubleshoot it that way.

Does it happen when the car is completely shut down? If so it's just the evap system burping, nothing to worry about at all.
