HELP!! Installed Tein SS and squeaking like crazy
I just installed the Tein SS on my 5th gen. The front is fine no noise. The rear however squaks over the slightest bump. I check the nuts and bolts everything seems to be tight. What could be causing this? How do i go about fixing it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
mine turned out to be the lower plastic brush guards that comes with the springs to quiet noise -- the lower plastic bushing was out of seat with the lower of the shock tower...
Just double check over everything and make sure everything is seated well and tightened down tight.
If everything's fine, then go to Autozone and get a can of Silicone spray lubricant. Loosen everything up, hose it down w/ spray, then tighten it up.

Please help! I tried adjusting the rears to a softer setting but still squeaking. The guy i got them from said to put wd-40 on the shock rod? Should I try this? Do you think this will make any diff.?
thanks!
thanks!
I'm having the same issue on my Flex, but with the front suspensions. The noise seems to occur during shock extension over bumps. I've soften the damper rates and the squeaking was minimized. Is this a common issue on Teins?
Anymore thoughts on this? The noise is driving me nuts thinking something is wrong.

I took my car to my mechanic and he fixed the problem. He said that one of the springs in the rear were installed incorrectly. So i guess he reinstalled the spring and no more squeakes.
