Default Mugen question

Ok, here's the situation. My friend says that a Mugen engine is just a mugen engine and there aren't any specs on one such as b16 or vtec or anything like that which I think is bullshit. What someone else told me is that it basically is any honda engine built with top of the line mugen parts but it still basically has the same engine code and is the same engine. I just wanna know whose info is fucked or if all of it is or what. Someone please tell me the truth!!!!!!!!

first of all there are no mugen crate honda engines like spoons , juns or todas .
second if they were to make one it would surely have a honda block and head , so yes it would be a b16 or b18......

werd but i could be wrong...I know for older honda engines and I mean old there did have some mugen pistons ...But now i think the only thing they make for b-series is a headgasket..and valve springs, header but no other internals

I wish they did so i can waste some more money

The d series race motors that were sold back then also were a true race setup and only lasted one season before requiring a rebuild.

no they didn't sell those to the pub. but the old d ser. was in that old *** mugen race crx that they had. (1986) no that's old, that **** put out a whopping 162hp, and was N/A of coruse, with some limited edition ID. throttle body's. (side draft) that was just made for that car alone. good luck on getting any of there old ****, they keep all there retired cars in a warehouse in Japan. and they do make mugen inter. but they don't sell to the pub. they are used for there auto cross cars in Japan. same goes for the newer cars.
