Default Plugs - NGK Iridium temp 7 & NGK laser platinum - info / numbers?

Went to buy plugs today, WTF. Regular NGK platinum is gone replaced with 'laser' platinum (LOL laser cut haha). These are more expensive than NGK iridium (huh?). Plus, nobody in my ricer town has the actual NGK numbers on file.

Which is 'better', and how the heck do I know I got the right temp range / number?

Opie, you have the NGK irid temp 7's, got any numbers?

What do I do, just order, hope, cross-ref via H-T when I get home, then return / exchange, and chalk up to 'experience'?

In my town I have sNapa, Aholezone, Sux, and the like. Anyone know these distributor's numbers for the above plugs in the right temps? I'm leaning sNapa & NGK Irie for 8.50 a plug.
