Default Quick Release Steering Wheel hub

I am currently in the market for a quick release steering wheel hub for my Sparco steering wheel? Any recommendations?

I was thinking of the one offered by Sparco but the price seems steep plus I still have to buy the hub for an extra $50-60.

Do I need a hub for this kit? or is one included? Which is better the hex or spline kit?

NR spec. you have to use a sparco or momo hub but it's only 140 and has no play even after 1.5 years hit up airbag club or heel toe as they carry it as Esses

I'm not usually one to preach Search... but in this case, the topic has been covered very extensively in several threads in the forum. There's more information in them than could be retyped here.

Most quick releases will require a hub.

Smart Racing Products makes a nice one and LTB sells one that looks very similar to it only cheaper.

I have the LTB splined quick release. I like it, I had to make a paint mark on the splined part to locate the wheel each time I put in on, but no big deal.

LTB's customer service rocks!

Most of the LTB quick released are fairly long -- which was a good thing for me.

Quite a few people on H-T are selling releases now. Many of them are shorter. I can't speak to the quality though.

With regards to not wanting the wheel closer, I used to think I wanted it right where it was but I can't move my aftermarket seat closer and I'd like to be right on top of the wheel in my car, especially with my slow-as-molasses (on Pluto) steering. I'm going to order a splined one as soon as I move in to my new place.

Splined has much less play in the wheel than hex.
IIRC the esses hub is hex.

Hey guys,

I've never messed with the hub of the steering wheel before other than just taking out the steering once out of my buddy's car. But I was just wondering with the JDM MOMO ITR w/SRS steering wheel is it possible to do those "quick-release" setups? If so, would should I use?
