Default Possible motor purchase a eg b16 w/mods **caution motor noob**

Ok well I am in fact a motor noob. I'm in school right now and really am having to put this fun stuff away till I get some sort of degree, whether it's auto. engineering or whatnot, but I found a nice start to a buildup on a motor. I've already got a pre-obd swap b16 in my car, but so I can still scoot around, I wanted to find another B series, build it or whatnot, and most importantly learn more about how this all works, not just the basics.

At first glance I saw it's got the ultra hype jasma header, but today I glanced at it again, and saw a ITR intake manifold also. The sellers don't know that that manifold is on it I don't think. It's got 76k on it.

See anything else visibly that might be different? It all depends on how much they end up wanting for it, but I thought this would be a great start for a 180-200 WHP n/a car. 4-2-1 header will stay b/c of the ground clearance on the ef cars. It's an ebay auction, so we'll see what others will pay up to.

I ASSUME that a modest goal of 180-200 whp n/a form is capable w/out too much $$? Honestly I don't know, it could also end up supercharged.

yup 200whp is pretty damn hard with a b16 unless your best friend is omniman. supecharger will most likey be an easier way used ones go for around 1500. get a close up on the header the jasma is like a carb exempt number in california it has to do with some clean air somethin in japan the mugen header has it and others i cant tell the header from the pictures maybe someone else knows.

yup its a b16 mani.... and as he stated before, you goal of 2 bills to the wheels will be quite costly on a 1.6.... best of luck to you....

dang i thought that was a itr manifold.....looks might close, i guess size is the only difference...I don't care to get it now, b/c I know the header isn't a big thing to write home about either. Jasma ain't a brand, and yeh I noticed the rust...oh well someone else can go fer it
