Just finished installing a new clutch, and it's only two days before the Wendover Pro. Now, I understand that you're typically supposed to run a new clutch for 500 miles, preferably street miles, at under 4000 RPM before it's considered to be broken in.
So, I have tomorrow off from work, and I'm driving the 120 miles from Salt Lake to Wendover on Friday. I've thought about a highway trip to cover 400-450 miles, and I've thought about just hitting a nice local canyon for a few hours (up and down and up and down and...) to work the hell out of the clutch with multiple shifts under load.
Any other thoughts or advice? OEM replacement clutch, BTW...I run in GS. Help me before I screw up!

clutch is good to go in 10 miles....
i'd press/depress the clutch like 50 60 times in that 10 miles...heel-toeing-revmatching.....

With a FWD car, you'll probably be fine. The clutch will grab harder when new, but the front tires will break free pretty easily. I did that once with a AWD Talon (after driving 1000 mi. to Wendover - 2000 ProSolo), and my center diff crumbled during practice starts.
