Thinking about going vtec. I have a stock ls in my 91 crx hf. makes good power as is (see sig.) but need some more hp on top end. just wondering if it is worth the money to vtec it. please post your #'s. I already searched thanks

 

Wow you made as crap load of torque. Whats done to that beast? I'm putting down about 175 on stock headers and open intake manifold:

B18a
B16a head
PR3 (b16) pistons (11.2:1 c/r)
PR3 oil pump
GSR Cams
2.25" exhaust (still using stock exhaust manifold though)
TurboEdit Chipped PM6
My best torque reading was 124.9

 

Thanks, it does do pretty good as is. Its a bone stock B18a intake, stock header, full skunk 2 mega flow exhaust, fuel pressure regulator, ngk plugwires, stage 2 clutch (clutchmasters). thats it. it bones out off the line, but totally flattens out around 4k rpm. looking for vtec to pick up xtra ponies up top. just too expensive right now. That skunk 2 exhaust and a fuel pressure regulator gained me 9hp and 10 ft lbs of tq. I was very impressed. Big ups to Rage Performance---Jason and Kenny

 

Yea, this guys car is pretty freakin fast. I have seen it in person. It is hella quick. I think you should be making around 160-170. You will prolly be hittin low 13's. Crazy. Anywayz, you have to get that head first there buddy.

Well if you go with stock stuff -- b16a cams stock intake manifold and stock ls pistons the power would prob be around ---160-165hp, 130tq. just my thoughts.

Yea. I was correct on the 160-170. Just come take a look at it yourself.
