God pissed in my CRX today....
It was a cloudy day I didn't think it would rain, I was thinking of excuses to go out and drive my freshly swapped crx then I remember about my brothers set of o-rings yes yes. Pull the CRX out of my sandy drive way busted sunroof, dented door, dented fender, ugly wheels and all. Make my way towards I-35 head for Irving towards my brothers apartment.
As I went further and further north it got darker and darker before I finally felt rain drops on my head. No big deal its just a little rain continue north only to get swamped in my own car by the damn rain. I exit the freeway pull into a gas station pump a few bucks of gas into the tank (Heh the b18 isnt as easy on the gas as the ol' d15). I remain parked untill I see the rain die down a bit, pop it into first and off I go rain isnt so bad. I get to my brothers apartment give him his o-rings show off the swap (Ofcourse
) he offers me some grub I accept.About an hour later I told my bro I was off he offers me a tarp to put over my sunroof. I think to myself "wtf I'm gonna look like a douche with tarp over my crx while I'm driving" but none the less I accept. We fold it up and and secure it by putting the excess in the doors. I get back on the highway and its raining like crazy now! I realize water is building up in the center of the tarp. Next thing I know its pouring outside and also in my car and traffic was not helping, about one hour and half later I finally got home soaked.
Any one have any ideas on how to seal off the hole for this bullshit custom sunroof? My first thought was welding a piece of sheet metal in its place but then warping came to mind, my second is fiberglass but would it break?
:Cliffs: Got stuck in traffic got soaked with busted sunroof need ideas on how to seal off bullshit custom sunroof

is it just for a few weeks/months? or permanant? if its only temerary i'd say cut up a piece of ply wood and cover it with plastic. It won't look pretty but it'll be better than a tarp, and it'll be more sound proof
Don't feel too bad, it was raining here in MIA also.
Since I had no A/C, it was very diffcult to see.
I wanted to replace my sunroof also but I am not 100% sure now if I want to or not.
I drove my car without the sunroof before and it was killer. wind and nosie was too great for me to handle. I don't know how you drove your CRX without it and especially in the rail. If you don't want that hole there then just have a body shop weld it shut. If they know what their doing then you don't have to worry about anything.
I know it will rain tomorrow so I gotta park the CRX and drive the Z.
