BARing a Skunk2 IM on GSR
just like the title.. it is possible to BAR certify a Skunk 2 manifold on a GSR, even if the manifold is CARB exempt? wouldnt the vacuum lines be different? would that cause you to fail, along with the wiring.
i totally understand that, but you are changing how the vacuum lines are setup. the motor is essentially totally different, your going from dual runners to single runner. not to mention you will not be utilizing something that the ECU was made to have. i know it has a CARB sticker... i have one. its just that i have heard, heard i mind you, that a ref saw a P72 with a Skunk 2 IM and failed it right there.. even with the sticker. anyone have ideas??
Well you heard wrong. If the ref fails you with the CARB legal then that ref is a moron and you need to go to another ref station. (note if you fail for another reason then thats something else)
My DC4-1 header takes out the o2 sensor and you have to relocate it. So i moved a O2 sensor and its not on the header anymore that doesnt mean im going to fail.
You have to understand that companys pay ALOT of money to make there product legal and if it moves vaccum lines from one place to another if it has the CARB sticker its legal, and no one could tell you other wise (unless if you have a non legal IM and your using a CARB sticker to something else, then youll get busted yes.)
