okay so I guess no one thought 15.5 was that good on a 1.5L

but anyways, here's the spec's

stock D16 head aside from a cam gear

Stock D15b bottom end (pistons are toast and some p2p's (ground down) or some P29's will be in this weekend)

apexi vafc car has put down 111hp so far on the dynojet

p-po tech custom tranny...

and stock exhaust aside from an axle back... other than that, we'll see what she runs this weekend

sweet! gotta love d-series potential. people always underestimate the sohc hondas. parts for em are so cheap cuz everyone is dropping em for B series, but my friends high compression z6 built outta oem honda parts eats GSR's with bolt on .

hahahah, well the price of the tranny is not yet set since we are doing 1st and second gears weekend, and honestly I have no clue what p-po is planning on charging... but if you guys are interested in one, all he needs is 3 different trannys, he had them all at the shop, including my ex tranny so I'm not exactly sure what all 3 he needs... but I will find out today.

here's a little background info on P-PO,

He's from puerto rico, and he was one of the fastest guys on the island
he had a 92-95 tube chassis (full Drag car)
ran a 9.5 letting off at mid track, and I can't remember what the mph was but I will find out the car had an H22 turbo setup... umm if you search on google you might be able to come up with somehting... the car's name was "tuerca Loca" (the crazy nut) so yeah, liek I said before, these guys at Humble know their ****, Alex (the owner) has built a road race car, it's dominating on the track right now, (h23 swap with cam gears, intake and erics racing header... no head or block work at all) nobody can beat him in the gt3 class, and he ends up passing some porche's in the other classes with ease once the car gets some head work or anything of that sort, bigger camshafts and what not... he will be unstoppable

I ran a 15.9 in a full interior 4 door (2320 lbs without me in it) with a stock D15 block, Z6 head, and DX trans...

What kind of car was this in?

I'm guessing an EG Hatch (judging from his name).

Not a bad time at all. Some headers, exhaust, intake, and maybe a VAFC can get you into the low 15s high 14s with a little weight reduction aswell.

sounds like the "hybrid tranny"... spoken of by mista b0ne and others...

if my knowledge serves me right...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mistab0ne &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Si/EX
1st----3.250---0000/7200---35.2mph
2nd---1.900---4209/7200---60.2mph
3rd----1.250---4739/7200---91.6mph
4th----0.909---5236/7200---125.9mph
Choose your 5th
5th----0.702---5560/7200---163.0mph
5th----0.750---5941/7200---152.6mph
5th----0.771---6107/7200---148.4mph

Hybrid using ZC 3rd and 4th gears
1st----3.250---0000/7200---35.2mph
2nd---1.900---4209/7200---60.2mph

4th----1.033---5526/7200---110.7mph
5th----0.750---5228/7200---152.5mph

For 92-95 trannys it is best to use the HF/STD 3rd gear of 1.033 for 4th gear.
If you use the ZC 4th gear it will require grinding to fit the synchro hub.

using, the ex tranny, zc tranny, and hf/std tranny...?

use this...http://home.cinci.rr.com/mistab0ne/tranny.html

nevermind, i found tom's write-up....
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B18C5-EH2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well I posted a topic a while back about building an Si-ZC hybird tranny. I finally got around to building the tranny last week.
I did not get any good pics of my ZC tranny rebuild because my parts were ready to go in and I did not have my camera, but I did snap a few shots of the leftover guts from the Si tranny.

Here's what I put together and why:

ZC case and 1-4 gears with synchros + Si 4.25 final drive (counter shaft and ring gear) with Si 5th gear and Si differential.

I took the ZC 1-4 gears because they are close together and the ZC 1-5 gears are actually shorter than any other D series trannies including the 96-00 EX trannies.

I swapped the DX-spec stock ZC 3.88 final drive out in favor of the shorter 4.25 Si unit. This means I get through the gears quicker, and with the ZC gearing the rpm also stay higher with each shift.

I kept the Si 5th gear because it's taller. This means lower rpm cruising in 5th gear. The ZC 5th gear is crazy short when compared to the Si 5th. The Si 5th is a .771 and the ZC is like a .898 or something crazy like that.
