Rear Seat Weight
I decided to remove my rear seats so that I wouldnt have to give people rides and because I figured it would remove a little weight. When reading on here before doing it people said that it would only drop off about 10 lbs but I figured I would do it anyway. Well, I just removed my rear seats (seat and back), receptor part of the seat belt along with the tray that used to extend from the seat backs to the rear windshield and decided to weigh them before I threw them in the attic. Now to dispell the rumors of this mod removing only 10 lbs, the actual total weight of my removal was 34.3 lbs! The breakdown is as follows -
-Rear Tray and hardware (buckle, screws, clips) were 7.5 lbs
-Seat Backing weighed 19.6 lbs
-Seat bottoms weighed 7.2 lbs
So overall I'd say its worth it for how easy it is to put them in and out. Even if you need them for a special occasion it would only take about 10 minutes to put back in.
