pringle can wheels!
Hey i was just wondering if diamond or kazher(sp) or any other wheel company had 13x8's that are streetable without bending but still light weight. i looked at rays, volk, and a few other manufacturers but i did not like the styles, Im looking for the racing rim style close to diamond's and what not but everyone says they arnt DOT approved and are too thin for the street (pot holes and what not will bend them) maybe i am being too picky, but i dont have the money for Auto X rims and street rims. If anyone has any suggestions, i would love to hear them. Thanks
if you don't have money to afford a street and autox set of wheels then:
a) you're in the wrong sport
or
b) you're not good enough to warrant a set of racing wheels yet
just pick up a decent set of 15" wheels and throw on some good tires (azenis come to mind...)

What decent street tires will even come in a size that will fit a 13x8 wheel? All I can think of are R tires like, none of which will last all that long on the street.

The only streetable (IMO) tire that comes in a size that will fit a 13X8 half decently is the A032R, but they are like $120 each.
ae86 and 1st gen rx7 owners are all about putting the widest 13" wheels they can fit on their cars, and using crappy general $25 tires.
13x10 TRD wheels - $1800
4 185-60/13 snow tires "stretched" to fit - $180
Thinking you're cool with said combination - Priceless

IMO they aren't streetable... I was following Rj home this weekend from an AutoX, it was raining a bit, we were forced to go sub 50mph on I95.

If you can't afford 2 sets of tires then I'd suggest the previously mentioned 205/50 Azenis on a decent 15x7 wheel.

I can say the same about my azenis. If the rain is just right, I am not going more than 50 on the highway. 2000lb car and 650/540 rates.
