Was out riding this weekend up in North Texas. There are some good roads ouside of McKinney and Allen that I like to use because they have a few good turns, but some have dangerous shoulder drop-offs due to heavy trucks and farm equipment.

Anyway, about 50 miles into my ride I pass a group of Harley riders, all running much too slow for me. They come to a stop and I nod as I turn the other way from their direction. About 2 miles later I see a Kawasaki on a farm road at a stop sign about 30 yards from the main road I'm on, looking down, possibly putting on gloves. I give him a polite two blips of my horn as a greeting since he's not looking at the road to see me wave. After a few more miles I see him comming up behind me. I enter a nice sweeping turn but from experience it has a nasty side drop and new roadwork has changed the surface, so I go through it at about 50%. This guy passes me on this blind curve in the opposing lane, slams on his brakes in front of me while looking back at me so I had to evade him. I was shocked! (He had a older ninja) I slowed down and let that guy get way far away from me. He was completely out of control!

Cliff notes: Be careful of who you meet on the highway.

there is a fun road from Weston to Celina i think its called 455...all sorts of curvy...i might have a pic of it...yeah i do...check it out.

i think 455 hits 75 north of mckinney. you can get on it there and take it west to Celina, and then take 289 (preston) south into allen.

when this weather goes away i hope to get out again...
