In the summer i would run 20w 50, since it's thicker you get a better seal on your rings, and it won't leak through valve seats and burn as easily, I would get thicker. Until cold weather came around.

Thats what i run in my std hb, and EG coupe.

haha 5 30 honda recomended
I dont think they would recomend that with a quarter million miles on it
20-50 year round would be a good idea

Use whatever oil you have been using. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

The higher the miles the thicker the oil you want. Period

10w40 for summer or any moderately warm place. 5w30 is for winter and cold starts. id rather have protection when i get my engine running hot. <----- period

Rings usually get pretty worn with 200+k miles.... thicker oil can help with this...

The 5w30 recommendation from Honda is based on fuel efficiency anyway...

then when it does brake because of your bearings failing, you wish you did fix it. Sorry not to be a dick.

Remember man, just keep check of your oil and treat the car as good as possible and you should luck out. My bearings failed at 245k
