Default Which AEM intake for '99 Civic EX?

As the topic says, trying to figure out which AEM cold air intake to put on my car to get the best performance. I know they have the standard cold air intake system, the V2 system, and now the Short Ram. I've been told that the V2 is the way to go, but a buddy had some dyno testing done last week and they found that the shorter the intake, the more power they found, which would lend itself to the Short Ram. Any and all help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

cold air is mostly for top end power and short ram is for low end power and really you dont have to HAVE a aem to me its just a name a pep boys intake arm will do the same you just need a good filter like k&n.The moral of the story is its just a tube wether its injen, aem or pepboys brand they all do the same ****

I recomend a AEM cai for an itegra type r. It has a 3 inch diameter for better flow and fits perfect.

AEM CAI is the way to go The short ram will just be breathing in the hot air from the engine and the CAI will be breathing the cold air from outside the engine.

MPower, will the type-r intake mount up to my '99 EX ok? i'm sure that it is fine on your GSR, just want to make sure there won't be any differences for my Civic.
Thanks

Yes the ITR intake fits nice on a ex. I installed one on one of my friends and it fit very nice. No cutting or trimming at all.
