So, to start, my rotors were warped to hell and I figured might as well change the front pads. So today, this is what I did.
Started with passenger side, worked fine. Impact driver had a bitch of a time but my friend and I got it off.
Driver's side I got fubared. The damn screws bent my impact driver's bit, and the screws got stripped. We tried to spray some stuff to loosen the screw but it didn't work. I didn't want to use heat, just didn't seem like a good idea.
So my friend goes lets dremel it. We dremeled a flat line through the screw, and used the flat head bit on the impact driver and got the bastards off. If you run into this problem, and don't need to reuse the rotor, I suggest you do this. We didn't go too deep, and the impact driver got it off in a second. I might just do this everytime to avoid a headache.
Then I bled the system with him hitting the pedal. I followed correct sequence in the helms till clear fluid came out. The passenger side rear was a bit of a pain, but I think I got all the air out. But it seemed like there wasn't enough fluid coming out, and when he would get off the pedal like it just sucked the air it pushed out in. Any suggestions? My vaccum bleeder seemed to pull just air too. Maybe a 1 way check valve... Does any have pictures of something like this?
So anyways, all 4 got bled, and I kept the MC full, except one time where it dipped slightly below low, but I'm sure it still had fluid.
I went and I just bedded the pads doing 6 medium pressure 50mph-10mph, and drove around for 15 min, then I did 6 HARD ones, a couple of times locking up with abs going, but I slightly let off when that happened.
But my pedal still doesn't seem like it did new. I think I'll try the ABS flush and activate it 50 times. But when i rebleed, I'm concerned I might get air in the system, and I really need a new way to bleed it. I also read of hitting the caliper with some wood.. Where do you hit it?
And I dunno if I can tell a huge difference... The pedal might be throwing me off.. The rotors are new brembo blanks, and they had a lot of crap on them. I wiped it off before I installed it, and I'm sure the bedding burnt off whatever crap was on it. But during bedding, the car did stop pretty fast..
My slight steering wheel shimmy when I'm going over 40 and make small corrections is still there. I'm thinking either the wheels aren't balanced, or the tires are odd. I'm hoping its one of the 2 and nothing else. At first I thought it was the pads maybe catching a bit of the rotor, but These are new (except for the rears, which seemed fine..) Any suggestions to this?
Sorry theres a lot of questions in there.. But I figure someone can use the dremel trick someday they're in my situation.

the rotors might need to be balanced or adjusted (hub might be off).....when you spin the rotor with your hand, does it spin evnely on its axis??
Regarding pedla feel; mine comes in and out, but still doesn't feel like it did new. hoping maybe new pads will fix (down the line).
I have done everything suggested and been to many places ot have them look. No solution.
Good luck. :-)

I get that with glazed pads.
Hit them with 60 grid sandpaper and re-bed them.
