how to get jack out
hi, i just bought my first honda and just got a flat as well and it's nearly one a.m. and my husband and i can't get the jack to come out of where it's located in the trunk. it just seems stuck in there, so we were wondering if there is any sort of trick, or some button or something? or is the damn thing just stuck?
really important, so ahead of time thank you for any help you can offer.

haha, same thing happened to my friend, its just that u need to turn the thingie on top that makes it lower the jack.
just loosen it (like the direction in lowering your car), u might need some leverage on it

what year is your car?
Mines a 6th Gen (1998-2002) and I wasnt able to get mine out. I've stripped out my trunk and i'm still not smart enough to get it out. I'm interested too, so you just twist the **** thing at the top?

Just do yourself a favor and get rid of that damn scissor jack. I wouldnt trust that thing. Get yourself a $20 hydraulic jack.. will cut down on time, and is extremely easy. But good luck securing one of those suckers down....

you don't mean as jack stand do you? I would never get under a car that wasn't suppored by anything but a lift or jack stands. Scissor jacks will fail just like hydraulic jacks, you should see my girls brothers from his CRX, it bent pretty good on one of the arms and the base. I agree with pyrojeff, get a hydraulic jack to use normally, but keep your scissor jack in your car just incase, because it's to hard to keep the hydraulic jack in the car.

i have a mini hydraulic jack in my trunk.. put it down in with the tire.. a few lbs beats trying to use that + cross bar crap!

i have never broken a scissor jack but my hydraulic jack doesnt fit under the front of the accord so i am forced to jack the rear like a 1/2" first b4 i can use my hydraylic jack, i still trust the scissor jacks more though.

You need a low profile jack. AutoZone sometimes has them for like $150ish. Craftsman just came out with on not to long ago for $200. I paid $200 for mine, it's all aluminum and weighs 45 lbs. Can lift 3,000 lbs and has a lift range from 3.5" to ~17-18".

Yea those aren't bad...but if you already have a hydrolic jack and it won't fit under due to a lowered suspension drive up on a wood block or phone book THEN jack it up
...hey its ghetto but it works.
