Default 98 civic coupe HX or 99 civic coupe DX

well i'll post pictures once i find my usb cable for my canon but these two cars are completely stock and i've been buying parts for the car already to begin my project. however i'm still stuck between choosing the white civic coupe DX (PS only and AC) or black civic coupe HX (AS PW PS).

leaning towards the 99 since it has a 99 front end already and weighs two pounds lighter than the HX. but the 98 HX comes with HX rims, tach cluster, and pw and pl. so i'll let you guys choose what my next project will be!

Black HX

Since I have a 99 HX that is Black, and absolutley love it. I like the stock wheels, tach, pw, pdl, and AC

But i like the 99-00 front end, and i like white cars.

hmmm, that changes things. I know people are running y5 turbos(i want to). But the availability of parts for the y7/y8 makes it more of a viable option.

well not really looking into building internals, just going to boost the stock motor because it's just going to be for fun. seen some crazy torque numbers for a boosted y5 so that is another reason for the HX

Hell yeah, go for the HX turbo. THere are so few of us, with Y5s that are willing/trying
to modify them. Once you get past the fuel issues, its smooth sailing.

Get the DX. The HX will atleast need an EX Tranny and Intake Manifold, as well as the forced induction. Might be more work than your looking for.
