90-91 cluster in 88-89

Default 90-91 cluster in 88-89

i have an 89 and im buying a 90 SiR cluster and it says it has to be modified to fit the 88-89. anybody know what that is?

well for starters the wiring has to be changed alot from what i hear, for actually fitting the cluster into the dash it shouldnt be that hard cause if u look at your cluster now, at the plastic casing around it, it can be easily removed and replaced with the new sir cluster and casing by just screwing it in w/o any dash modifications.

yeah u need the 90-91 round cluster cover and of course the wiring up. I think fourthgenhatch.com has a writeup but i may be wrong
