homemade turbo?

how much would i be lookign to spend on a home made turbo? i know you can use a hf mani and t3.... but from there im not sure what else i would need

i got my whole set up for under 500 and 90% of the parts are 100% brand new but then i spent 400 on an safc 2

im not going to be any help here, but i was wondering the same, i have a sohc zc in my ef.. looking to put together something cheaply.
