Default Is this pioneer deck any good?

I plan on keeping the stock speakers, I am with out any deck because my stock one does not have a faceplate, so I figure it would be smarter to get a quality/cheap aftermarket deck instead of paying the same for a honda face plate. Here is a link to it on best buy.

I have searched the model # on ebay (great way to search) and many poped up from around 115 w/ out shipping. My cousin is really into audio and electronics, so he will be helping me install it. For decent sound with stock speakers, is this a good deck?

Pioneer is great! I have an old deck similiar to the one you're looking at. Still works great after like 3 years of hard use, no skipping and no problems at all! Now I've bought another pioneer deck, a higher end one and am happy as I could ever be

If you're willing to spend a bit more, buy a Pioneer that supports MP3. It's really nice being able to fit 7-10 full length albums on one CD.

I have the Pioneer 7600MP and am very happy with it.

I will look into that. I can't remeber the site, it was thezeb I think. But it had quite low prices on decks. I think I will be ordering from there. Like I said, my cousin can install in easy, but is there anything else that I need to get for the finished product?

I heard that there is something that goes around an aftermarket deck that you need to get, I would like to get this ahead of time so I can have a completed product right away.

cant go wrong with pioneer. the eeq (3 band parametric) is one of the best built in eq's on decks in that price range. never had a pioneer crap out on me.

subwoofer control is very nice. id spend a little more for one that will work with a wireless remote ( if that one doesnt already ) .

stock speakers are always better then you think, stock decks are what make them sounds crappy.

I actually decided to step it up a notch and get a more expensive pioneer deck. Good to know that the stock speakers will be decent. It is really wierd with the decks I looked at, the 2600-4600 range all look nearly exactly the same, exept the 4600 is flater (volume is flat). I am going to go with the DEH-P4600MP, found one for only 89$ on ebay, compared to 180 at bestbuy. Mp3 capabilities, can't wait (2 days till auction is over).
