Hi all,

I owned a automatic '94 Accord LX sedan. My question is? how many qrts. of engine oil does you guys usually pour in? Any input be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

 

I believe 4 cylinder (f22, f23 etc) are 3.5-4 quarts....I could be wrong though.

 

my 97 takes 4.5

I appreciate your input my friend. Sorry! forgot to mention the size of the engine. But, yes it's a 4 cylinder. Anyway, can somebody confirm this for me? Thanks a lot!

 

i use between 4 and 4.5 for my 93 accord.

 

I must be trippin...when I used to change my own oil I would buy 5 quarts and it was right around 4-4.5 what was I thinking

 

My 92' Accord takes 4 quarts, brings it up a little over the hash marks. My 01' Accord takes 4.5 quarts. Both of them are 4 cylinders. Get a hold of a owner's manual if you can. I'm just trying to show the differences between the years.

 

i only put 3.9 in mine.

Thanks 4 ur input my friend. Anyway, i found the exact amount of engine oil for '94 auto. accord LX 4 cylinder. It's 4.0 U.S. qrts. including filter, w/o filter that would be 3.7 U.S. qrts.

my sbc only takes 6, your h takes 5. what is the world coming to

 

94-97 Accords require 4.5 quarts of oil

 

4-4.5 for me... usually right on 4.25

 

It depend thou, if your car its over 50k, it normally take 4.5qt.
I know on my '99 Accord, in the 1st oil change it took 4 qts. After 50k, I needed to dump 4.5qts. So wear and tear can cosume more oil ?

They are probably taking into account the fact that your engine probably burns a little bit, better more than too little.
