two screws in the back, So take them out. Unplug and pull

 

Take the ashtray appart.
Use a small 1/4" rachet with short extension and a 8mm socket or #2 Phillips tip adaptor and manage to insert it trough the ashtray opening, underneath and back of the radio and untight. There are two of them and facing down. Then, just pull out the radio and unplug harness and antenna.

Sorry just checked the 98s not there.

The way I do it , you need 1/4" ratchet, 10" extention, uni. joint, 8mm socket.

put a light on the drivers side faceing up to the back of the HU, from the pass.side, look up to the back of HU , locate two 8mm/ philips screws, one is in the middle of the back bottem of the HU [ faceing down] the other one is closer to drivers side,[also faceing down] using ratchet with extention ,then uni. joint and 8mm socket remove the two screws, pull HU with pocket attatched out 1 or 2 inchs
on the front sides, there two philips screws,[one on each side] that hold pocket to HU , remove, and remove pocket, this will let you reach up behind HU to unplug it.
You will backbrace the HU you are putting in at the same place as the middle 8mm screw that held the oem HU in place, also did you get the kit and harness adpt. yet , if not get the Metra ones .
