When is VTEC supposed to kick in on a USDM ITR?

I only thought that JDM R's had VTEC. Learn something new everyday....

 

low to high: 5700rpm and high to low is 5800rpm i believe

me too wtf is up with that? usdm Rs have vtec now? have they always been like that?
