Expo 4: Who went off roading????
Soooo I know I'm couldn't be the only one that had a four wheel off, anybody else go off? I remember seeing DavidNYC go off and I think the NSX, who else and where???
I went off in I guess what would be turn 3, ran through those darn breakaway things. It was quite a learning experience and I know now not to go full throttle into turn 1 and lift going into turn two
Da damage from my off, also cracked the paint on my lip but no major damage. I was just happy it wasn't worse.

Also don't think I've mentioned it yet but my instructor was ubercool (about my off and my driving in general), thanks Matt (El Pollo Diablo)

Full throttle the whole thing, especially T1, T2-4.
Glad it wasn't worse.. battle scars grow on you after a while. (I have a nice tire tread scar on my lip from the ride home from Expo 3 and a few scrapes and scratches on the lip/bumper from Trey's event in March at little talladega)
I went off at the exit of T11 (or 12? is that considered two turns or one?) near the rumble strips. It was a controlled off.. I was already pretty sideways and pushing (entered too fast, kinda missed my downshift a bit which didn't help the situation) - just drove off at about 25-30 after I had scrubbed a ton of speed. Safest and slowest off ever - I just didn't want to fight the car (being that it wasn't mine!!!) and have an issue.
Didnt see any terrific, spectacular offs this event - did I miss any?
I DID see the spectacular spin DOWN the hill Starting after T6 and ending up past T7 - who was that????

<== dropped two wheels in the dirt in session three, then in session four almost spun it in Turn 4 - but other than that, no problems... and never really went "off" the track.
(finally got that section perfect by the end of the last session)

Chris93si I think u went off right in front of me
. Thought u were comming right around into me lol. I was I-6 PY R w/ no acura or ITR decal on the rear
. The guy w/ owned taped on his rear (CW) went off a lil when me and smitdog rolled him in the front straight 4th session, thought that was gonna be bad

did 2 drifts going through T10-11 (first experience drifting, felt pretty controllable)

I remember seeing that one - from his passenger seat!
It was actually pretty controlled, though, as offs go - fairly slow speed, once we were off, etc.

Yes, the NSX went off on the inside of 10. I saw that one from behind him.

I dropped a couple wheels (Edwin has that on video
) and was pushed off the track in my first session by some crazy **** under braking into the last turn (don't get me started on this... I was not pleased at all by this!)

slow also. although some quick countersteering was needed when i put 2 wheels on the gators exiting T4. those things just suck you right in.

I had quite a high speed 4 wheel off after the high speed kink (memories of Cosworth last year) in 4th session (I-18). I came through the kink a bit fast and I didnt want to lift drifting out to the outside, so I stayed on the gas, unfortunately I was closing up on 2 white ITRs VERY fast...instead of jamming the brakes and trying to make it I just drove straight off but damn that wall comes up fast...also there is not much traction in the grass LOL.
