power steering belt removal

Default power steering belt removal

if i just remove the power steering belt will i have any problems with my power steering system or any other problems..

probably not, some others did that with no problems. Curious as to why you want to remove the belt. If you want to save weight, you are better off removing the wholes system as well as the AC lines and compressor. Oh, and lose the interior panels and stereo system and the SRS system as well.

cuz they say u gain like 3-5 whp so i was just curious. i dont daily drive it so it wouldnt be a problem

Steering will be heavy compared to complete removal....
Feeling is different too, because the P/S fluid is dampening the forces.

only when moving very slow and turning sharp (parking spaces). camber affects this as well. unless you are an 85lb lightweight I dont think its that big a deal.

I am running it without a reservoir (only a loop), and 90% of the fluid pumped out for about 2 years. No problems....
