one question I have is, why do people who don't actually have a race car put on tow hooks? all it does is give criminals a easy way to tow your car away.

yeh but the stock tow hooks are hidden very well and most criminals are stupid and don't even notice them. You'd think some dipshit would walk by and say "hey I could jus tow dat bitch away wit my pickup"
