Default 1996 Accord with H22A

Hi I have a 1996 Accord (Auto) which i dropped a H22a into. I have a few questions. I am looking for some basic mod for this engine (still and auto)

1. Good and quite cat back exhaust system
2. Header for the H22A
3. Cams are the Jun cams any good?
4. Valve springs and retainers any to recommend?
5. Upgraded ECu to get rid of both speed and rev limiter and to get a few extra ponies.

Any feed back is welcomed.

Thanks

I know some manufacturer out there makes headers for h22s but I have heard that the stock manifold wouldnt be much different than an aftermarket one.

first off i would recommend an auto to manual swap since u want to do some motor work... as for quiet exhaust go apexi world sport or a greddy. if u want power and dont care about noise DEFINATELY TAKE OFF UR CAT. jun cams are great if u care to spend the $$$ as for ecu just run a hondata with a usdm p13 which doesnt have a rev limiter unlike jdm p13

thanks. i don't want to spend too much on a tranny right now so i guess i'd stick to the auto. I have a few stupid questions

1. i assume a p13 is the type of ecu my car is running?
2. how can i be sure?
3. how much will the hondata ecu cost?
4. what sure of gain/benefits can i expect to see.

ive got a Greddy Evo exhaust for sale if ur interested.

as far as a header, if ur tryin to be JDM get a JDM Prelude Type S header. If you wanna go with JUN stuff, just build the head with JUN. But if you dont wanna spend as much money, just go ahead and buy a Prelude Type S head. Its the equivalent to buying a Type R head for a B series motor. Its all upgraded stuff. As far as teh ECU, i'd get a Skunk2 chipped p13. Good luck w/ it all.

Hondata is gonna run you between 600 and 1500 bucks, depending on ur setup, you have to call them and tell them everything you have and they let you know which one is best for you.

You got an H22, and you are looking for info regarding that engine. Are you aware that you are positing in the accord forum? I'm sure you would find better information in the prelude forum.

They make mugen h22 header. In general, DC sports h22 header doesn't get a lot of good reviews in the prelude forum.

Nice.
Well, I think you would find more help in the prelude forum.

well, I don't question that, but you can't use hondata with a p13.

...just run a Greddy Emanage system, but please get it tuned after a series of upgrades, not before.

JUN cams are good, bore out the TB, RS*R ExMag exhaust from (www.turboimport.com) for $484 shipped, stick w/ JDM header if you dont wanna dish out 1000-1200 bucks for a header that WILL put 20whp under you.

well your probally running most likey the accord ecu

since your tranny and ecu are both run by the same computer

and honda didnt make an auto ecu in 96

in 97 they did, but it has the immoblizer.. so right now your motor is running bout 40% of what it should be.. i dont know how your able to drive it and be happy.

i know cause over the past 2 years, i have the same thing, except ive had a custom harness made and i still am in the process of getting it finialized to rewire the full tranny and engine compartment to run a ecu and tcu seperate.
