Default faded window trim :(

Ok, my window trim on the sides of my car have lost to the test of time, and faded. My question is, what is the proper procedure to paint them black? Also, what paint should I use and what grit sandpaper will I need to sand it down and prep?

i did the same thing with forever black, the stuff didnt work like i thought it would, so i sent it back for my refund. I later bought some black trim paint from autozone. I sanded down my trim just a little bit and painted it with the trim spray instead, it looked a lot better.

duplicor has trim paint that is dead on color wise. I painted mirrors with it and it matched the stock trim perfectly.

i went to the dealership, and you have to buy a whole new window for the part of the window behind the door (if you have a 2dr)

alright, got rustoleum semi-gloss and did the window trim. Turned out awesome to say the least. I also got a can of flat black and did the wipers. I give to Rustoleum.
